What time is check in and check out?
Our check in time is between 2pm-6pm each day, however both earlier and after-hours check in can be arranged to suit your arrival time. Our check out time is 10am, with late check outs available upon request.
What amenities and facilities are provided in rooms?
Our rooms feature Wi-Fi, smart TVs, hairdryers, fans, irons, tea, coffee, linen and beach towels. The Hillcrest also features a pool, tennis court and lounge area that guests are welcome to use. Tennis rackets and balls are provided upon request. All amenities are provided free of charge.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is not included in the room rate. We do offer fresh croissants with butter and jam from local Wild Ryes Bakery which we deliver to your room. Please enquire on arrival.
Do you have wifi?
Yes, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we offer complimentary on-site parking for hotel guests.
How many people do the rooms sleep?
Our Sunrise Rooms and Exhale Deluxe Rooms sleep 2 guests. Six of the Sunrise Rooms are available as interconnecting rooms ideal for families or groups of four. The Lookout Deluxe Room and the Merimbula Suite sleeps up to 2 adults with the option of a rollaway bed at an additional cost. The Hillcrest Family Room sleeps up to 6 (with a King, Queen and two single beds). If required, a baby cot can be provided.
How far away is the Merimbula town centre?
The main street of Merimbula is a three-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from the Hillcrest.
How close is The Hillcrest to the beach?
Merimbula is surrounded by many beaches. Main Beach is a six-minute drive, Bar Beach is an eight-minute drive, and Short Point Beach is a seven-minute drive.
Which rooms have views?
All of our rooms have panoramic views of Merimbula.
What's the cancellation policy?
We appreciate that plans change and you may need to cancel or postpone your travel arrangements. Therefore, most of our rates have simple, hassle-free cancellation policy:
  • - Free cancellation until 24-hours prior to the check-in date.
  • - In case of modification or cancellation within 24-hours or in case of no-show the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Can I bring my dog?
At Hillcrest we believe everyone deserves a relaxing break, including our four-legged friends. Therefor, some of our rooms are dog-friendly. Now, to ensure a pleasurable stay for everyone, there are a few terms and conditions:
  • - We allow one dog per room, with a maximum weight of 20 kilos.
  • - You must bring your own travel crate (highly recommended), dog-bed and pup accessories (food, bowls, poop-bags etc)
  • - Dogs are not to go on any of the beds or furniture intended for the human guests.
  • - We expect them to be well trained, well behaved, and quiet as a mouse (no barking allowed)
  • - We ask that your dog is on the leash at all times when in permitted public areas and that you never leave your pooch unattended, outside or in your room. We’re happy to recommend a dog-sitter in case you’d wanted some time to yourselves.
  • - We expect your dog to be fully house-trained and we ask you take them for regular bathroom breaks.
  • - To keep our rooms up to our high standard, a $65 cleaning fee will be taken at the time of booking to allow extra time for a deep-clean of the room to leave it spotless and allergen-free for our next guests.
  • - If you’re unable to observe these conditions and in case of excessive barking, you’ll be asked to leave the hotel.
